Every day we talk to people all around the world who are ready to change, to move forward. Not so much as a means of “better” or “worse’ but just something “more”.
When we announced a contest recently to give away we received so many amazing entries. But sadly, in life, sometimes, there can only be one winner.
Ellie is a beautiful young lady inside and out, hailing from South Africa, and currently living in London. With many dreams and ambitions and intentions, she left South Africa to pursue her studies in organic skin care formulation. While adjusting to life in the big city, finding work, finding a new home, she also discovered yoga! She discovered a deeper connection to herself through yoga and felt the incredible power that it had on her mind, body, and spirit. She contacted us earlier this summer expressing a deep desire to further her yoga practice. But, it went even further than that. Ellie was ready to transform her life and combine her love for organic skin care, essential oils and health and wellness, with her love of yoga. She was feeling discouraged and sad, longing for home but so eager to pursue this path and live her dreams.
But, it went even further than that.
Ellie was ready to transform her life and combine her love for organic skin care, essential oils and health and wellness, with her love of yoga. She was feeling discouraged and sad, longing for home but so eager to pursue this path and live her dreams.
When she first heard of the contest, Ellie was a bit reluctant to enter … asking herself questions like…
- Does she have the time?
- Does she have the technology?
- Does she want to reveal her dreams in an online format?
But, after some hesitation, she finally took the time to submit her video and essay. Check it out below:
Little did she know that one month later she would be chosen as the winner. When we contacted her, she was shocked, and could hardly believe her fortune. We had to tell her multiple yes, its real, yes I’m serious, you won! You could sense the tears of joy springing all the way across the pond.
“I tried not to think about it…but secretly I thought “what if I win”…”what if”…it is truly the manifestation of my dreams to do this. I didn’t know where my path was going to lead me, but now it is so clear to me what I am going to do next. It’s a whole new path, a whole new chapter. ”

The essence of this story is simple.
Sometimes in life one faces an opportunity, and our life circumstances and history may tell us not to do it, it’s not worth it, it’s not worth our time. We may questions whether WE are worth it. But we are ALWAYS worth it. The only way to overcome this doubt is to be open to the possibility. When we open ourselves up in this way, when we speak our intention to ourselves and people around us, beautiful and bountiful things emerge.
We talk to people every day just like Ellie, and you don’t need to win a contest to take the next step. In fact, change is within your reach right now at this very moment. Those who fail to see it may be lost in the shadow of their own assumptions and perspectives but it is waiting there, on the sidelines, waiting to be revealed.
Finding your power is much easier than you might think.
These four steps are a great way to begin to truly manifest the power to live your dreams:
1. Be open to the possibility of anything.
When you doubt, you tell the universe to doubt you and it will lead you down the continued path of doubt. But if you open up to the universe you’ll be amazed what comes to you.
2. Speak your intentions to yourself, to others, to the world.
Speak your truth, speak your intentions. When you say them out loud it only adds accountability and gives your intention more power.
3. Repeat a daily affirmation mantra
“You are Worth it”, hang up power cards around your home, write it a sticky note, send yourself a text. By the constant reminder of positivity, it will truly rewire your brain to think that way.
4. Begin a Mantra Practice
1 Mantra, 108 times a day for 40 days.
There are Two great mantra you can begin with.
One, to Lakshmi, Goddess of Abundance. One famous version is “Om Sri Maha Lakshmyai Namah.”
Two, begin a mantra practice to Ganesha, Diety and Remover of Obstacles. One version is “Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha,”
Dedicating yourself to a mantra practice can be transformational.
