95-Hour Kids Yoga Teacher Trainings

Cultural Immersion & Yoga Teacher Training

Join us for the experience of a lifetime in the Mayan Highlands of Guatemala!

We will spend 8 days together in one of the world’s most powerful healing vortex’s,
learning and studying about how to integrate yoga into the lives of children & families.

We will work directly with the indigenous children and families, volunteering our time and offering our service in various ways within the community and local villages.

Cultural Immersion

Lead by Anjili Russell, co-founder of Sadhana Yoga School, we have compiled a unique training format that gives you as much time outside the classroom working with local child and families, in addition to what you are learning inside the classroom of how to share yoga philosophy, yoga practices and mindfulness with children and families.

Yoga is a practice that involves not just how to teach it, but also just a little “go do it” mentality!

Whether we are in the highlands of Guatemala, or the Monadnock Region of NH, we will integrate our classroom learning by volunteering our time and service to local community initiatives that center around creating healthy and whole families.

Program Structure

A message from Anjili Russell,

Co-Founder of Sadhana Yoga School and Lead Training Facilitator

Sometimes we say that something is a “Once in a lifetime Opportunity” but my friends, this truly is! Our 95-hour kids yoga teacher training programs are located in a magical indigenous village in Guatemala. In a home like setting, we will practice on a covered rooftop yoga space overlooking one of the largest freshwater lakes, surrounded by 3 (inactive) volcanoes. We will share organic meals with 80% coming from the land and local villages and residents.

I have lived in this community on and off for almost 10 years! I am well integrated into partnerships that have a direct impact and local indigenous people people and for 2018-2019 we will be offering 2 programs on the shore of beautiful Lake Atitlan and after that who knows! Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to teach yoga abroad and work and serve in highlands of Guatemala!

When in New Hampshire, the home base I share with my husband and son, we will contribute our time and service to non-profit organizations that have a direct impact on children and families. We will work with and teach local children and families through Kids Yoga School.

Our 95hr Kids Yoga Teacher Training program has 3 parts:

Part 1:

Philosophy Online

You complete an online program designed for community professionals, educators and parents and caregivers that delves into the why we ought to be sharing yoga philosophy and its practices with children and families.

This Embracing Yoga Masterclass is designed to position yoga philosophy and yoga practices as a tool for healing and transformation in our families and communities and is the underpinning behind why yoga is necessary for children and families.

In this Online Component you will receive:

20 Videos

Downloadable PDF’s of Yamas & Niyamas (core yoga philosophy in family-friendly language

Printable Manual & Workbook for your own inner reflection and personal development in integrating yoga into your daily life

Part 2:

Theory

You join me in person to learn and understand the theory and practice of yoga philosophy and practices and tips and strategies behind how and what we can teach to children and families in a universal way while adjusting for age appropriate development.

This is the core theoretical aspect of your Kids Yoga Teacher Certification:

Yoga poses and breathing practices for kids

Mindfulness games and activities

Special accommodations for Yoga in Schools

Yoga classes for children and teens affected by autism and special needs

Launching your kids yoga business

Trauma informed practices

Physical and Energetic anatomy for kids

Complimentary practices including

Diet and nutrition

Emotional free technique

Essential oils and natural, plant-based products

Part 3:

Experience

We spend time working together in an intentional community delivering yoga practices and lifestyle tips to local children and their families and volunteering our time and service to enhancing the lives of those we are with.

This is the practical integration and experiential learning:

Designing and planning sequences to deliver to children of different ages

Offering kids yoga classes to real children

Learning to navigate the introduction of yoga and mindfulness to children and families who have little to no experience with it

Working with local Guatemala organizations to offer yoga

Working with local Guatemala registered non-profit that feed local children

Supporting the local community and environment by participating in positive education and support of health, nutrition and the environment preservation and restoration
